Sunrays through the waves off Narrabeen // Sydney, Australia

I’ve said it before that rules are meant to be broken, especially when they’re guides and not rules. The “rule” I am breaking this time is shooting directly into the sun. Usually shooting directly into the sun is a serious no no. However, on this occasion I was walking back to the car and had to move quickly to avoid being caught by a wave; and that gave me an idea. I saw how the odd bigger wave was crashing and making quite a splash and thought why don’t I try and capture the breaking wave with the sun in the background. This is the result.
