United States Air Force Globemaster C-17 on display at Avalon Ai

The logistics heart of the ADF is provided by the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III, this one is from the United States Air Force. It's able to carry up to 77 tonnes of cargo, being an Abrams tank, or four Bushmaster vehicles or three Black Hawk helicopters. A key capability of the Globemaster is short take off and landing, it only needs 1,100 m of runway, which is about a third what a A380 needs. The Globemaster can also be refuelled by the KC-30A, now wouldn't that be a sight to see!
