Long Reef Headland at Sunrise // Sydney, Australia

Description

Some mornings you just have to bite the bullet and drag yourself out of bed and plonk yourself down behind your camera. If long exposure if part of my style then so is low angle photography, that is having the camera as near to the ground as possible. I’m not sure why, maybe it is so I can sit down. I have to say that low angle photography without a tilting screen (that I don’t have) is definitely painful.

This morning I ran across the road to Collaroy Beach and wasn’t disappointed, the sun was just starting to rise above the ocean and made for a lovely deep reddish orange glow. This was a one second exposure.
